Renters do not care about your machine! Some renters are not familiar with the air intake systems and they inadvertently allow the engine to be destroyed because of carelessness. Consider this situation. A renter has a machine with a dust bowl. The dust bowl is so yellowed that you can't see into it. How many filters will it take before it is fixed or how many times will the renter "bang" the filter on the side of the machine before it is replaced with a new one?
