LSM Technologies, our Sy-Klone distributor for Australia, New Zealand, and the Fiji Islands, reported that their Western Australia distributor, Lyons Air Conditioning Services, recently installed a Respa-SD on a Mine Site Service and Crew Light Vehicle (LV) - in other words, on a SUV that carries crew in and out of pit mines.
Like heavy mining equipment (HME), Mine Site LV's are subjected to a lot of dust- possibly even worse- due to the small HVAC design, vehicle cabins are not as well sealed (compared to HME- eg fixed windows) and filtration is relatively small and ineffective (block quickly).
A more elegant mounting solution will be designed when the testing of this first installation is complete and the RESPA is installed throughout the LV fleet.
