Another Safari Snorkel user converts to Sy-Klone Series 9000 Engine Precleaner

Peter Welsh is off on an around Australia trip with a caravan of 4 x 4 enthusiasts to see our beautiful country. Peter wanted to ensure he maximized engine performance, fuel economy and protection of his 4.2 liter turbo diesel Nissan Patrol, so he chose to fit our Series 9000 Engine Precleaner to his Safari Snorkel.
Peter is going to thoroughly test the Series 9000 Precleaner by fitting a brand new high quality filter to his Nissan and will collect a lot of technical data prior and post his trip. This data would then be compared to one of his other companions vehicles using the same filter without a Sy- klone Series 9000 Precleaner.
Peter said "fitting of the Sy-klone could not have been easier, and I wish the Safari Snorkel was as simple. I took your advice and checked all connections and sealed a few with stika flex to ensure a water tight air tight seal. Also using a air housing without the old "duck bill" evacution port. Only way for air to get to my engine is via the Sy- klone Precleaner.
I have an extra paper element filter, but from my research I doubt that I will need it though. I have packed the digital video camera in the hope of getting some good footage of driving through heavy bull dust.

A lot of other mods have been carried out:
- Upgraded to a codan 9323 Hf.
- UHF 10watt.
- Twine hot water shower system for the wife.
- Solar system 120 watt for camper.
- Full airbag suspension with full in vehicle control to control height and pressure.
- Rear draw system.
- New Engel fridge freezer.
- Three inch straight thru exhaust system.
- Full steel rear bar with twin wheel carrier, had to modify this as I wasn’t satisfied with design.
- Made new awnings for the camper.
- And lots more................!
