RESPA systems work in conjunction with the machine's HVAC system to pressurize the operator cab. To maintain proper function, all pressurized cabs should have a pressure sensor. This alerts the operator to both increased exposure to contaminants and conditions that burden the HVAC system. When the cab does not hold pressure, it is time to service the seals in the cab or replace the RESPA's filter.

To ensure that you get RESPA's advertised extended HVAC service intervals, it is critical to keep the air in the cab as clean as possible. When the cab loses pressure, unfiltered outside air is drawn into the cab creating a "vacuum cleaner bag" environment with potentially unhealthy respiratory conditions for the operator. The recirculation blower draws the contaminated air over the evaporator coils which collect the contaminants and clog the coils, resulting in HVAC failure.

A Pressure Monitor System is recommended for use with Sy-Klone's Cab Air Quality Systems.
