SY-KLONE INTERNATIONAL AWARDED CONTRACT BY NIOSH AND CDC
FOR DEVELOPMENT OF SMART CAB AIR QUALITY SYSTEM
Smart Cab Filtration and Pressurization System to Protect Heavy Equipment Operators with Next Generation Technology to Monitor, Adjust and Maintain Air Quality in Rugged, Industrial Environments
Jacksonville, Florida, September 2020 – Sy-Klone International (“Sy-Klone”) has been awarded a contract by the National Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (NIOSH), a division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to conduct research on the application of smart technology in a machine operator enclosure to manage air quality. The research will identify best practices in creating a smart system to actively monitor operating conditions inside the cab, including the ability to adjust in real-time, to optimize the cab’s air quality while operating in the most rugged and demanding work environments.

Case Study: RESPA Cab Air Quality System on Quebec Crusher Cab
Summary:
RESPA®-CF Fresh Air system with Electronic Pressure Monitor and RESPA®-CFX Recirculated Air system were installed. Our current products, RESPA-CF2 and CFX2, are based on the same technology but are more rugged with additional filter options. Results after 1,120 hours: no HVAC breakdowns or clean outs, air quality dramatically improved. The operator was very happy with the improved air quality in the cab.
