OSHA is about to enforce requirements to limit exposure to Beryllium on job sites and for a good reason–It is deadly. We’ve heard a lot about the new Silica Rule, but knowing the facts about beryllium is just as important. OSHA estimates that around 11,500 construction workers are exposed to beryllium on job sites throughout the country, mostly through coal slag, which is commonly used in abrasive sandblasting.
